Schließlich möchte ich die tatsächlichen Lebensbedingungen in den Kolonien beschreiben, wobei der Schwerpunkt hier auf den afrikanischen Kolonien liegt, da hier zahlenmäßig die meisten Siedler anzutreffen waren.
